Common questions

How are grades computed? From the food's published label and public records about its maker, scored by fixed, public criteria. The full methodology is at whiff.dog, and you can look up any food we've graded under Foods or any maker under Brands.

A scan didn't read. Fill the frame with the ingredient panel: the ingredient list, the Guaranteed Analysis, and the AAFCO statement, in good light, bag flattened. Barcodes grade instantly when the food is in our verified catalog.

The grade for my food seems wrong. Grades are personal to the dog profile (life stage matters most), so first check the profile. If a fact on a label or in a maker record is out of date, email us the bag and photos — corrections ship to all users without an app update.

Restore a purchase. The paywall screen has a Restore purchases button. It restores any Plus purchase made with your Apple account.

Cancel Plus. Annual Plus is managed by Apple: Settings > your name > Subscriptions.
